I'm so sad today. He failed to win the victory. Donald Cerrone, 37, had a 15-minute battle with Niko Price. It's too bad. Still, he's my hero.

Donald Cerrone is a veteran who is playing a hot game on the cage regardless of whether he wins or loses. He also lost to Anthony Pettis in the UFC 249 in May. His last victory was in May last year against Al-Iaquinta. Since then, Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, Connor McGregor and Anthony Pettis have lost a total of four consecutive games. The 37-year-old didn't perform as well as before, but thought he might get a chance to turn around through Price. 

However, Cerrone met Price in the 178 welterweight UFC Fight Night held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Wednesday and shook his fist, but failed to win or lose (29-29, 28-28, 28-28.

One who tries to challenge a legend. 

Price, who has won 10 times in the first round alone, opened the game first. He lashed out at 'slow starter' Cerrone. Mixing his big right hook, high kick and body kick, he tormented a veteran with thick bones. Cerrone bought time in Clutch mode. Even if he gave control time, he focused on recovering his physical strength and rhythm.

The first round ended with points and impact, all inferior. The number of hits, 35-64 effective hits, also fell sharply to 34-52.

Price changed his strategy in the second round. He threw a jab at a distance rather than an active in-fighting. You probably thought it wouldn't work with the existing style. But Cerrone didn't get involved either. With a career record of 52 games, the veteran responded with a long-range kick and a forward step and a front-hand attack. He showed more impressive scenes in the standing batting match. Isn't this the highlight of the game? 

However, as time went by, the weight was tilted toward Price. He focused on his body, which is a weakness of Cerrone. He used a kick and when the distance narrowed, he hit the bottom of his chest with a left hook and middle kick. Eventually, Cerrone lost the game to Price.

The flow of the third round was similar. Price had a fine edge in the fierce battle.

Two minutes into the final round, each of them was frosted at the same time. After a short break, Cerrone attempted a surprise tackle. It was a blow aimed at a final turnaround. Price, however, ripped off the "cowboy" takedown with a perfect defense. Perhaps if this attack had worked, Cerrone would have had a big advantage. Even I, a fan of Cerrone, was amazed by Price's play.

In the end, there was no victory.

Finally, Cerrone squeezed out all his strength in the last minute. Without getting tired, I put in a one-two punch. The final ball rang at the end of Cerrone's hip. The repertoire decision was a draw. No one raised his hand. Price was ahead in the number of effective hits and control time (128-109, 0 minutes vs. 4 minutes 34 seconds), but he praised Cerrone's activeness in terms of impact. Cerrone had a career record of 36 wins, one draw, 15 losses and one invalid. Price, who showed outstanding performance against the "bigger," had a total record of 14 wins, one draw, four losses and one invalid. It's quite a shame.
